The Gefran WPG-A is a contactless magnetostrictive linear position transducer designed for precise, wear-free displacement measurement in demanding industrial environments. It supports stroke lengths from 50 mm to 1500 mm, operates on a 24 Vdc supply, and delivers analog position feedback with IP67 ingress protection. Both sliding and floating separate magnetic cursor configurations are available.
The WPG-A is engineered to drive position feedback in hydraulic presses, bending and grinding machines, and industrial cylinders. Its contactless magnetostrictive measuring principle eliminates mechanical wear, while delivering 0.01 mm repeatability, 0.5 µm resolution, and robust EMC performance. The sensor is PLC-ready and suitable for continuous duty in harsh production environments.

The GEFRAN WPG-A is a contactless magnetostrictive linear position transducer used to measure the position and displacement of moving machine components. Typical applications include hydraulic presses, bending machines, grinding machines, and industrial motion-control systems.
The WPG-A series supports useful electrical strokes from 50 mm to 1500 mm. The appropriate stroke should be selected according to the machine's actual travel distance and installation requirements.
Depending on the ordering configuration, the WPG-A supports 0–10 V DC, 0.1–10.1 V DC, and 4–20 mA analog outputs. Direct and reverse output options are also available. Confirm the required output before ordering.
The WPG-A requires a nominal 24 V DC supply with ±20% tolerance. Its operating temperature range is -20 °C to +75 °C, and its storage temperature range is -40 °C to +100 °C.
