The MTL4514 is a single-channel switch/proximity detector interface engineered for hazardous environments, certified for Zone 0, IIC, and T4-T6 classifications under ATEX/IECEx standards. Designed to bridge explosive zones and safe-area control systems, it enables secure operation of a single load via switches or proximity detectors located in potentially flammable atmospheres.

Functional Safety-Compliant Design for Critical Applications

Featuring SIL2 capability in simplex configurations (HFT=0) and SIL3 readiness in redundant setups (HFT=1), the MTL4514 meets IEC 61508 functional safety requirements, making it ideal for safety-critical processes. Its fail-safe relay outputs (10W, 0.5A, 35V DC) ensure secure load switching, while galvanic isolation between input/output/power channels safeguards against EMI and voltage transients.

Versatile Integration and Rugged Performance

The MTL4514 simplifies system integration with its DIN-rail mountable design and compatibility with mainstream DCS platforms like Honeywell C300 and Yokogawa CS3000. Its single-channel architecture provides flexibility for monitoring discrete processes, such as valve positioners or pump status indicators.
